Aidai's 1st Pigtails
As Jossie, her child care provider said... Ponytail holders = $1.00, Time spent = 2 minutes, The look on Aidai's face when she saw herself with pigtails = PRICELESS
5 Months Home!!
Just a quick note to say that today marks 5 months since stepping off the plane in Boston. I'm in awe by how much Aidai has changed and by how happy she is. She really is happy in this picture but if you tell her to smile she makes a weird face and if you don't then you get the Russian-type photo, she doesn't understand the whole posing thing yet.
Wednesday marks the 1 year anniversary of us first seeing Aidai's picture! Bill knew immediately (I was wary, to keep my heart safe) that she was supposed to be ours and one day shy of 7 months later, she came home!
Shout out to my travel buddy Maria! I doubt it would have been as fun and clumsy *snicker* with anyone else. We did good at laughing until we cried and crying until there was nothing left to do but laugh! I want to have a reunion soon, maybe we should go on vacation to Almaty =)

Hey, It's Bill
I know, I know, it's been a while...sorry, kinda busy being the silly one..."Papa's silly..." I love how that sounds...Elizabeth can be quite silly and fun herself.....I am madly in love with our daughter, and she reminds me everyday why that is...I'll post more about all of that, even though it's early, I've got her thinking garden, and she was quite a helper this past weekend with the yard work, we need to get some smaller tools for her, she's a power house, and as you've heard, quite a singer, she may get that from papa=)...Anyway, next month I'm going to be part of a fund raiser for the local cancer treatment center, my dad just went through 3 1/2 moths of treatment there, the $ will go to families who have financial needs because of the care.....I'm looking to raise $500 and am about 1/4 of the way there, 1 or 2 or 5 dollar donations add up quick, and here's the catch, on April 25 I'll be getting my head shaved to support those who loose theirs......times are tough, trust me, I get that, but if any of you have a couple $ to send, trust it'll go to a great cause. Checks should be made out to "Kingsbury Pavilion" and can be mailed to:

I'll post pics.....promise!! And thanks!!
P.S.--If you're gonna donate, please message us, it'll make record keeping easier.

Time flies
Hi all,
Life has been busy here. I have worked for almost 3 weeks straight so I am exhausted. I keep thinking, "next month will be slower" and then it isn't! Aidai is learning all types of things. She can count to 11 now. She speaks in sentences and many are easily understandable for adults that are not Me, Bill or my mom. She still loves school and daycare. She is really excited about the garden, Bill has a few things growing inside already and she is fascinated. She loves Caillou, Curious George, Sesame Street and Macgyver (what can I say, she's my kid).
We received paperwork from the state indicating that Aidai is now readopted in NH so we just need to request her birth certificate from the Vital Statistics office.
Check out Mala's blog over at www.bringinghomebeck.blogspot.com for photos of Aidai meeting up with her former Tokmok roommates, Beck and Jyly. I forgot my camera so the other two had to snap photos for me!
