It has been almost a year since I posted last. Alot has been going on and I'm probably not going to continue blogging here but for some reason felt drawn to this page today. Two years ago today I walked out of the orphanage with Aidai, only to return someday when she is older for a visit.

Aidai is 6 years old now and very American. She knows she is Kyrgy and is proud of that. She remembers an amazing amount from living in the orphanage and both our trips overseas. It really is amazing, she remembers the oddest details about our trips but she is correct every time. She loves her black hair and likes wearing glasses although in a few years I am sure she will be desperate for contacts. She is holding her own in school, not at the back of the pack but not the front either. She still gets extra assistance and receives PT and OT services. She wears a brace on her left leg and the optic nerve in her left eye was damaged and can not be correct to 20/20. So, she falls alot but usually bounces right back up.

She loves music and loves to draw. Give her a pen and enough scrap paper and she's good for atleast an hour. She is in dance classes and Girl Scouts and has done some soccer clinics in the past. She is eager to learn anything and everything.

Aidai is just like her Mama which seems crazy considering there is no biological connection. She has a wonderful memory, is independent yet sensitive, extremely stubborn and likes things to be fair. Unlike her Mama, Aidai is he eternal optimist it seems. Time and time again people comment on just how gosh darn happy the kid is...and overall she is very happy.

I can't believe it has already been two years but I can't believe it has only been two years. Aidai has been the greatest gift of my life and I am so proud to call her my daughter.
